Biography

Nevena Nešić, Master of Political Science in the field of Social Policy, was elected to the position of Junior Researcher on April 12, 2024.

She was born on July 24, 1996, in Niš, where she received her primary education and finished the "Dr. Milenko Hadžić" secondary medical school. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy - University of Niš, the program of basic academic studies in Social Policy and Social Work, on June 24, 2022, with an average grade of 9.73. She completed a master's program in Social Policy and Social Work at the Faculty of Political Sciences - University of Belgrade, module Creation and Analysis of Social Policy, with an average grade of 9.63. She defended her master's thesis "Trust of Young People in the Pension System in Serbia" on September 28, 2023, with a grade of 10. She is currently a second-year doctoral candidate in the Doctoral Academic Studies in Social Policy and Social Work at the Faculty of Political Sciences - University of Belgrade, with an average grade of 10.

During the period from 2018 to 2023, she received a scholarship financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. She was awarded the "Dositeja" scholarship from the Fund for Young Talents of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the academic year 2021/22. year during the final year of undergraduate studies, as well as for the academic year 2022/23. year during her master's academic studies.

She completed an internship at the HO "Dečje srce" in Belgrade in 2023.

Her previous research experience is based on the use of quantitative and qualitative methods in researching the perspective of citizens on important social issues, which contribute to social cohesion and participation in a democratic society, and the hypotheses were based on the examination of the cognitive, emotional and behavioral dimensions of the attitudes of respondents of the general population.

Her area of scientific interest is the concept of intergenerational solidarity, both from the financial aspect in the field of the pension system and in matters of active aging, empowerment and inclusion of vulnerable social groups - women, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities...
